Nhi Phu Temple

The Nhi Phu Temple is located on Hai Thuong Lan Ong road in District 5. The temple was built in the late 17th century by Chinese Vietnamese. This is the only temple in Saigon that worships Bon Dau Cau, a Chinese eunuch.
Father Tam Church

Father Tam Church, also known as the Francis Xavier Church, in Cho Lon is decorated with horizontal lacquered boards and scriptures carved into altar pillars, similar to Chinese temples. On 3rd December 1900, at the Feast of St. Francis Xavier, Saigon Bishop Mossard placed the first stone for the church to be built for the Chinese in Saigon. The church was completed on 10th January 1902. After the church was completed, parish Tam Asson built a school, a kindergarten, a boarding house, and houses for rent in the church. In 1934, Father Tam died and he was buried at the entrance of the church. Therefore, the church is often called Cha Tam (Father Tam) Church. In 1990, the church steeple and the sanctuary were refurbished.

Nghia An Hoi Quan Pagoda

Built by the Chaozhou Chinese population in Ho Chi Minh City, this pagoda is hidden behind a sinister looking gate. The pagoda is noteworthy for its gilded woodwork: a carved wooden boat hangs over the entrance and to the left is a large representation of Quan Cong’s horse and groom. At the ornate altar, greet Quan Cong, to whom the temple is dedicated. Nghia An Hoi Quan Temple is located at 67B Nguyen Trai in Saigon’s Cho Lon district.
